Office Attendance Inches Up Across U.S. Cities
That’s up from 54% the previous week and approaching the recent high of 55.8% seen in early September.
Kastle’s figures are based on anonymized keycard swipes from clients across office properties. Among the cities tracked, Austin, Texas once again led with a 70.3% attendance rate. Dallas followed at 62.8%, Houston at 61.1%, New York City at 57.6%, and Chicago at 57.4%.
Washington, D.C. recorded a modest uptick to 50.1%, up from 50% the prior week. Office attendance in the nation’s capital continues to lag behind other cities, likely due to the effects of the recent federal government shutdown. D.C. remains well below its post-pandemic peak of 55%, last reached during the week ending September 10.
