today's news
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. NAICS was developed by the Office of Management and Budget and jointly by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to allow for a high level of comparability in business statistics among the North American countries. Below is a snapshot of Illinois businesses by NAICS code, industry and number.

The tables below show the annual sales ranges and unique segments for Illinois businesses. To search for additional information on a specific business go to the website of the Illinois Secretary of State at https://www.ilsos.gov/departments/business-services/business-searches.html
